ATMANAM

Atmanam is an independent electronic music artist and record producer from India. His sound sits between melodic, chill, and deep house, gently drawing from world music, with an emphasis on emotion, stillness, and a connection to nature. He studied Music Production, Technology, and Innovation at Berklee College of Music and received the 2019 Best New Electronic Music Producer award during his time there.

For him, music is closely tied to the feeling of time passing. There’s a quiet awareness that nothing really stays, that everything shifts, fades, and becomes something else. What he experiences doesn’t feel separate from his music, it gradually finds its way into it.

 

There’s a certain melancholy in that, but also a sense of peace. The understanding that we’re all just passing through, small in the larger picture. Music, for him, becomes a way to sit with that feeling, to give it shape without trying to hold onto it.
